Feeling better

I'm finally over a ridiculous bout of bronchitis which I can only guess was a plot by some nefarious arch nemesis to keep me from my rightful lottery winnings. Employing occham's razor further, it's plain this can only mean that winning the lottery is my destiny. I for one am looking forward to it.

I can't tell

If I'm sick and that's impairing my ability to win the lottery or if I'm just sick of not winning the lottery. Either way it still has not happened.

Not today

Not this noche.

A confession

It pains me to say this, but I've not been playing the lottery in recent days. I'm afraid I've let less important pursuits like work, family and home take up my time. I will even confess to finding a kind of peace. But, like so many things in life, this peace never reached the absolute, nor, I felt deep down, could it. I was left wondering, "Should I rest here? Cherish what contentment I'd earned through my various choices and toil?" The answer has been building for some time ever since I turned my vigilance from that most important goal. Today, dear readers, it erupts forth splendid and awful. My need lays it's self bare and I once more go about my task with the utmost dedication. YES! I will win the lottery. This will happen! Stand aside life for I have a destiny!

Also, I did not win the lottery today.

It's been a blur

Everyday for a week and half straight now, I've woken with my goal in mind, crisp and clear as a lake on a summer morn.

"Today," I tell myself, "today will be the day. The day I break my losing streak. The day I reach forth and pull from the ether my prize. Today, I will win the lottery."

But as the sun set each day, I altered my thoughts. I shifted my focus from the shattered expectations and bitter disappointment of another lost day. I concentrated instead on the next day, THE day I would win the lottery.

And so the cycle goes.

Exhausted

I'm so very, very tired of not winning the lotto. Each day is a struggle, but I will persevere. One day, that metaphoric giant sack with the dollar sign on it will be mine.

Not as of late

I've been so unable to win the lottery that it's beginning to effect my ability to post. I'll remain vigilant, however, so that you my fair reader will know on a daily basis whether or not I've won the lotto.

Friday, you cursed bitch. You were not the fulfillment of my deepest desires to bathe in easy, easy money. On the plus side, it's the weekend. Now I have more time to concentrate on winning the lottery.

Costant Vigilance!

I could stand to learn from my own advice! I must remember to post my results everyday! In an attempt to make up for my failings I will now recount the results of the last two days:

Yesterday, January 6th, 2010: I did not win the lottery.

Today, January 7th, 2010: I found a penny, but I didn't win the lottery.

It seems all of my affairs are in order.

Oh my...

I forgot to post yesterday.

I did not win the lotto yesterday...

Or today.

Perhaps tomorrow?
